Candidate Traffic Critical Project (TCP)

This checklist is to be completed for any project where any work, including parking for equipment or material delivery, loading or unloading is within 15 feet of the normal traveled lane that is either:

  • on a highlighted TCP route (any interstate, freeway, or expressway where the speed limit is 55 mph or greater);
  • on the District Allowable Lane Closure Map; or
  • has any safety or mobility concerns.

If your project does not meet any of these criteria it is not traffic critical. Ensure the project has an appropriate Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) Plan.

To help understand the TCP Checklist process it is described in the TCP Flow Chart

The attached map shows this TCP network.

The TCP network consists of any interstate, freeway, or expressway where the speed limit is 55 mph or greater
